Pedro Mustard's first EP sets his introduction to the music world as a solo artist. It's a solemn ode to some of the major events that took place in his first quarter of life. An intimate catharsis where his inner world revisits and translates all the emotions from back then, exteriorizing them in the most beautiful, sincere, and epic way.

The Light
The opening song & 1st single. Released on March 2018, with over 1K streams on Spotify to date. A chamber pop piece where the author vocally pours his longing for better times ahead, contrasting his current hardship with glorious memories from his past, hoping to rise from the existential darkness he's in, to a better and promising reality, full of light.

Fanny
In honor and memory of Fanny Astrid Lopez.
An instrumental piano ballad that pays tribute to the precious existence of the author's great-aunt in his life. Proclaimed as a 'very moving piece', it introduces the listener to a sweet and mellow intro that evolves 'in crescendo' picturing dramatic scenarios related to Fanny's early battle against dementia. The ending proposes a distant and dissonant point in the composition, accentuating her total loss of memory and sudden passing.
"This song is an homage to an angel that has always watched over me. She didn't only give me my very first piano ever; she also gave me the sweetest motherly love and care -that to this day- I haven't been able to explain. I will always treasure her, and her love will always remain with me".

Cristal
A Spanish lullaby infused with subtle hints of Latin American folk with an atmosphere that cordially invites all listeners to a warm safe place in which the singer/songwriter expresses his unconditional fatherly love to one of the greatest gifts the Universe has given him, his sister Vicky. The song embraces the bond between the siblings and the Venezuelan roots they were born & raised in, being there for each other through thick and thin, and always for good.

Want this to Last
2nd single (April 2020). An acapella recording, taken from a poem written by Pedro Mustard. This piece with almost a thousand streams on Spotify (to date) comes out as an intimate solemn act of realizing and confessing how his heart truly feels when falling in love reciprocally. Mustard solely uses his distinctive baritone voice in this piece, with an interesting articulation between falsettos and improvised scatting between verses. The song ends with an exquisite exclamation in which Pedro Mustard sings his heart out, meaning how glad he is about wanting the feeling to last.

Fire
3rd single. Released on September 2022. Featured on 'The 50 Hot Picks of 2023' by Yellow & Black Music Blog.
´Fire' is a Cabaret song that mixes 1950s Pop with a spicy pinch of Blues. Mustard explains who he is in a flirty & villainous tone as he disregards all rumors, daring everybody to personally discover the truth of his statements. Throughout the single, Pedro Mustard paints a movie scene for the listener to participate in the song as if that performance was live, thanks to its immersive vibe and chaotic self-validation mood. With the killer style of a genuine jazz ensemble, Pedro Mustard even celebrates his quirkiness on Fire's instrumentation, highlighting playful drums, delightful hummings harmonized with the piano, and a handful of cheerful back vocals by his friends & family, making this song an excellent and catchy retro-cartoony anthem for everybody to vibe along.
